Partners in Tourism

Travel and tourism have a tremendous economic impact on our community. There are about 1,500 jobs directly related to tourism in Lowndes County. Travelers to Columbus, Mississippi spent an estimated $100 million in 2005. That's revenue in YOUR pockets.

Tourism Partnership meetings are held on Columbusmainstthe second Tuesday of each month. These meetings empower Lowndes County residents and business owners to get involved in their growing tourism industry. 

The Tourism Partnership is open to anyone. Our mission is to help local busineGtrsses make the most of tourism opportunities in our community. Restaurants, retailers, attractions and gas stations will all benefit from the networking and packaging opportunities.

The CCVB is funded by local restaurant taxes collecThelinkted by the City of Columbus and Lowndes County. Tourism Partner Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. To host a meeting at your location please contact us.

The knowledge of the CCVB staff is available to you for questions on just about anything, from area information to advice on sales, marketing, public relations, and more!

Public Relations Opportunities
Stay in the loop, and keep us informed as well! Keep us aware of changes at your facility: renovations, expansions, improvements, new products, changes in your business hours, or staff changes.

Photo Gallery
You'll also be able to submit photos or photo suggestions for addition to our online Photo Gallery. The CVB uses these images to help promote Columbus as a destination and also provides promotional images to travel writers, magazines, and other media outlets.
