About the Columbus/Lowndes County Convention & Visitors Bureau
The Columbus/Lowndes County Convention and Visitors
Bureau (CCVB) is dedicated to building a positive image of Columbus
through tourism, convention development, major events, and through
marketing the community to a national audience.
The main objective of the CCVB is to promote and market the city
of Columbus and Lowndes County as a tourist destination and
convention site. We also represent and support the interests of the
visitor industry as a whole.
Through successful development and the execution of a
centralized sales and marketing strategy, the CCVB generates
economic benefits for the city and county. We also provide
information and assist with all services and facilities relating to
the tourism and convention industries from meeting planners, tour
operators and travel agents to meeting individual visitors and the
news media.
